The Susanville School District is proud to have built a team of educators and support staff that are all focused on the common goal of improving education for our students while providing a nurturing work environment for all employees.  The Certificated Bargaining Unit (STA) and the Classified Bargaining Unit (CSEA #442) work hand-in-hand with Administration and the Board of Trustees to establish collaborative schools that enjoy Professoinal Learning Communiities that work together to create dynamic, thoughtful and intentional learning environments for our community.
Our teachers work a 185-day contract and enjoy a competitive salary, 100% employer-paid health benefits for employee and family (medical, dental, vision & pharmacy) as well as life insurance beneifts.  The District grants up to twelve years of teaching experience for placement on the salary schedule and new teachers are supported with district-paid induction programs and mentor support from existing staff.  Educators at each school are offered a variety of stipend positions that support student programs and sports.  Long-term staff enjoy opportunities to earn longevity pay and retiree health benefits per the bargaining agreement.
